One of our hardworking cleaners here at Smestow has been presented with a bunch of flowers as part of a national awards campaign.

Glynis Turner was nominated for a ‘Celebrating The Stars In Our Schools’ award, and received a lovely bunch of flowers from Simon Taylor, of Unison.

The campaign, run by Unison, is designed to raise awareness of the important work done by school support staff, and Glynis was nominated by her colleagues.

Here are some of the things they said:

“She is always bubbly and happy, and puts a smile on my face even on a cold, drab, dreary, Monday Morning.”

“She leaves her area extremely clean.”

“She is a delight to speak to, always there to listen to you and always makes you feel better about yourself.”

“She is always happy and friendly even at 8am on a Monday morning. She always goes that extra mile!”

“She is always incredibly happy, polite and enthusiastic. I’m also glad she now works mornings as she brightens up my day. Nothing seems to get her down.”

Well done Glynis! For more information about the Celebrating The Stars In Our Schools campaign, click here: www.starsinourschools.uk
