Smestow Leaders rounded off a busy term of work with the primary schools as part of the team to officiate and run the City Tag-Rugby Finals at Wolverhampton Rugby Club.

Fourteen Smestow students, ranging in age from Year 7 through to the Sixth Form SWIS Leaders, refereed, lined and scored the matches which involved 15 primary schools.

High praise was received from the staff and parents from the primary schools for the professional way the students conducted themselves. Well done to all involved.

Meanwhile, 21 primary children from Smestow’s partner schools attended another development camp on the first day of the Easter holidays.

‘Personal focus to improve’ was the theme of the day, which involved the talented group taking in activities such as tennis, badminton, volleyball and cricket. Some great performances by all and thanks to Macey Abbey from Year 8 who came along as a Young Leader.
