As part of preparation for life after A Levels, Year 12 visited the annual UCAS Convention at the NEC in Birmingham.

With over 300 exhibitors at the convention from all aspects of Post 18 life, including gap year opportunities, Universities, Higher Level Apprenticeships, student finance and graduate recruiters, it was the ideal event to find our as much as possible about choices after Sixth Form.

Students were able to visit the stalls and ask specific questions to representatives from each exhibitor, to find out important facts like entry criteria for courses, application processes for apprenticeships and career opportunities from employers.

Everyone returned to the coach with arms full of brochures, prospectuses and of course, the very welcome freebies. The day certainly gave us food for thought and was the ideal preparation for UCAS week at the end of term.
