Maths Challenge is a national competition where students answer intriguing maths and logic questions. Although it is a multiple choice test, it is very tough!
Some of our pupils in Years 7 and 8 took part in the Junior Maths Challenge (UKMT) and did very well.
Over 400,000 pupils from across the UK sat both the Junior and Intermediate Maths Challenge with roughly the top 6% receiving gold, 13% receiving silver and the next 21% bronze.
The successes came in the wake of Alex Rowlinson’s excellent performance at the Junior Maths Challenge for pupils in Years 7 and 8. He achieved a well-deserved Gold award and together with this a number of pupils achieved silver and bronze awards.
