Smestow Ladies Netball Team have just completed a very successful second season. Throughout the season the girls went from strength to strength playing with six players on the occasional match (when Mia sustained an ankle injury), dashing from revision sessions (running onto court with bib in hand) and playing in some atrocious weather (resulting in the opposition sustaining a nasty head injury).

During the two years the team have been consistently congratulated for being polite, well-mannered and simply ‘good sports’. This recognition came in the form of an award at the ‘Netball Summer Ball’. The team were awarded for being a successful young team whilst demonstrating all the necessary values that any sports person should possess.

Captained throughout by the team secretary, Skye Townsend. Congratulations, I wish you all the best as you go onto Higher Education. I look forward to season three where Mariah Brown of year 11 will take over as team secretary and captain.
