Sixth Form Uniform

From September 2017 we will be operating a zero tolerance policy to incorrect uniform

For The Young Men

  • Shirt with a collar – no polo shirts or t-shirts.
  • Tie optional.
  • Formal trousers – no denim or similar or combats. No shorts.
  • Trousers with rivets or studs are not considered smart enough.
  • Jumpers must be plain and smart with only a small discrete logo.
  • Smart footwear – small discrete logo permitted. No trainers or canvas shoes.

 

For The Young Women

  • Shirt/blouse with sleeves, including short sleeves – no polo shirts or t-shirts.
  • Formal trousers – no denim, chinos or leggings.
  • Trousers with rivets or studs are not considered smart enough.
  • Skirt / dresses must not be shorter than knee length.
  • Smart footwear – small discrete logo permitted. No trainers or canvas shoes
  • Ankle boots only.
  • Jackets/tops – plain with small discrete logo.
  • Jumpers must be plain and smart with only a small discrete logo.

 

Do’s and Don’ts

No coats, scarfs or hoodies to be worn in the building.

Academic dress should be worn at all times. Students are expected to get changed to take part in physical education lessons.

Warning system

First warning- incorrect uniform identified and a phone call home.

Second warning- student sent home to get changed.

 

All members of school staff reserve the right to question any clothes being worn that they deem as inappropriate.
