Welcome to the careers page for students and parents.
Students are entitled to a careers program which will enable them to make informed decisions relating to their education and future Career plans. All students will be supported to become confident, independent, lifelong learners who we hope will achieve their full potential.
The importance of positive and correct careers advice and guidance
Careers advice at Smestow School should prepare our students for the world of life after compulsory education. It will provide access to accurate, relevant and up to date information about pathways to further education, employment or training. Staff will aim to support your understanding of the current labor market and how changes may affect you.

Careers education is important for Self Development, careers survey which will help students to explore opportunities in learning and pathways to work. Careers management will help them to make, review and update any careers plans they wish to follow.

Parents/Carers – Your involvement is very important, talking with your child about further careers and educational plans can help them through this confusing time.
