Vision
Building People
As a school we regularly revisit key questions:
- Why are we here as a school?
- What is education about at Smestow?
- What are we trying to achieve with our students?
- How will we achieve it?
We believe we are here to Build People, the young people of today, so that they are ready for a world of tomorrow, that none of us can predict.
At Smestow we do this by focusing not only on key essential knowledge but also on a core set of agreed values and skills. Together, we believe that these equip our students with the tools they will need in an ever changing world.
We understand that education is a three way process involving parent, student and school. When one of those aspects doesn't work the students progress suffers. We will do all we can to avoid that from happening.
Smestow school is fully committed to supporting our young people to be aspirational and to dream of their futures. Our commitment is to support them to make those dreams come true.
So what are our key skills and values?
